is a director, writer, photographer, and editor based in Los Angeles.

With a background in both film production (LMU ‘14) and advertising (DDB), Nate’s work combines traditional, character-driven storytelling with commercial sensibilities. During his time at DDB, Nate developed a unique understanding of agency dynamics that continue to inform his workflow and philosophy.

The tone of Nate’s work tends to lean emotive and heartfelt — often shedding light on important subjects and causes. In 2020, his feature debut Wake Up premiered at Tribeca’s 2020 We Are One Film Festival, and received acclaim in Variety, Hollywood Reporter, and Indiewire.

In his commercial work, Nate strives to find the humanity within the messaging, often utilizing dramatic visuals, sweeping score, and inspired characters. Over the last few years, his work has been featured in Ad Age (3x), AdWeek, and Campaign US, and has been recognized by the Cannes Lions (2x), National Addys (5x Gold), D&AD (pencil for direction), and the Shots Awards (2x).

In addition to directing, Nate enjoys photography (named “Face of Leica LA” ‘23), writing, and hanging out with his wife Alana and basset hound Henry at home in Sherman Oaks.
